TREES
It’s good to go for a walk among the energy that Mother Earth freely gives to us. It cleanses both the mind and soul. On one of my recent walks in the woods, I found myself chatting away (like we do), and realised that we are much like trees.
Please allow me to explain in more depth. You see, we are the trunk of the tree, the branches and leaves are our friends and family. Like a tree trunk (us) we are constantly feeding and loving our friends and loved ones (branches and leaves). That is wonderful, and we should not stop doing that. Indeed, the world could do with more of it. However, just as the tree trunk needs its roots to be strong to continue doing well, so must we nourish our roots (the soul) to be able to keep loving and caring. Please, when you send your healing and loving thoughts, don’t forget to include yourself. We must be fit and healthy to be able to look after ourselves and each other.
Another thing a tree does is shed its leaves, which is the weight it carries. This in turn allows it to come back the next year stronger, fitter and wiser ready for the new season ahead. Again, we can compare this to our own lives. There are times when we are in a position to lose; however, we gain so much more because of that. We can carry the past on our shoulders, which requires shedding. Once we do so, we come back feeling lighter and brighter.
I myself have gone through life where the trap door has opened, and I’ve found myself at a loss. But I’m sure you shall agree with your own experiences that as time goes by, we suddenly realise that what did happen was meant to be, because we then find ourselves in a much better place. This may take a week or a month, sometimes maybe six months or a year. But it always comes through eventually. What’s important here is to accept what has happened and find that positivity that is always there if we take the time to look for it.
Finally, like the trunk that sees and feels everything all year, so do we see and feel. With each passing year, we show ourselves that we can get past the harshest of seasons. Like the trunk and roots carry on growing, so do we. We are all much more resilient and stronger than we give ourselves credit for.
We are all here to grow the soul through life learning experiences, positive or negative. We become wiser and stronger with age. So next time you look at a tree, remember that we are closely on the same path. Go one step further and give that tree a hug. It’ll be the best thing that you and the tree shall feel.
